This course, run over two mornings on Monday 5th October AND Monday 12th October, introduces the Welfare Benefits Framework to new advisers, providing a framework of how the benefits system fits together, and which benefits apply to which client groups.

Monday 5th October 9.30 am - 12.30 pm AND

Monday 12th October 9.30 am - 12.30 pm


Your booking covers both days, and you are expected to attend both days.


A full day course, run over two half-days introducing the Welfare Benefits Framework to new advisers.  We will look at

  • the relationship between claimant needs and entitlement, and consider the relationships between Contributory, Means Tested and other Benefits.

  • key features of contributory benefits including NI contribution conditions and eligibility

  • key features of means tested benefits including how family structure, capital, income and working hours all impact on the benefits payable

  • How Housing Benefit and the UC Housing Costs Element are calculated, and the factors which influence the calculation

  • disability and carer benefits, and how these fit into the overall benefits package

  • how disability and carer benefits form part of the package.




Price:

Individual Delegate: £50.00

Block Booking Five Delegates: £238.00

Joining Instructions

A Zoom Link and electronic copies of the handouts will be emailed to delegates (or Training Manager for bulk bookings) no less than one week before the course.


Cancellation

The Customer may cancel Individual Bookings with the following penalties:

·         More than 21 days before the course date, No charge.

·         More than 7 days and less than 21 days before the course date, 50% charge

·         7 days or less before the course date, 100% charge

·         The customer may substitute one delegate for another at no notice.
